Nonrefundable Retainers:

All sessions are final. A nonrefundable retainer must be paid in full to secure your session and avoid cancellation. If you cancel your appointment, the retainer will not be refunded.

If you have booked a session where only half of the retainer is paid at the time of booking, the remaining balance is due on the day of the session, no later. If the remaining balance is not paid, no photos will be provided, and the retainer will be kept.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:

Cancellations are not allowed. If you need to reschedule your session, I require at least two weeks' notice. If notice is provided, I will be happy to reschedule your session for a later date.

However, the nonrefundable retainer will not be returned under any circumstance if the session is canceled. Only reschedules are permitted with the required notice.

Late Policy:

Life happens! If you’re running late, please communicate with me as soon as possible. While there are no additional fees for being late, please note that the session will end at the scheduled time, and there will be no extensions if you're late.

Rescheduling Policy:

If you need to reschedule, please provide at least two weeks' notice. If you wait until the week of the session, I will not be able to accommodate the change, and you will lose the session.

Photo Selection and Editing:

Photos will be strictly chosen by me, based on the best shots from the session. I will select and edit the final images for you. Keep in mind that the lighting and photos on the camera may not reflect the final result once edited.

It will take up to 25 business days to edit your photos, and you can track the progress online through my website.

No Call / No Shows:

Clients who fail to show up for their session without prior communication will lose their session and will not be able to reschedule.

Weather Policy for Outdoor Sessions:

If the weather is unfavorable on the day of your outdoor session, we will reschedule at no additional charge. Please understand that I have no control over the weather (we live in Minnesota, after all!), so I ask for your patience if we need to adjust our plans.

There will not be a studio backup unless we have discussed and agreed upon one beforehand.

Studio Sessions:

If you’ve booked a studio session, please note that due to shared space availability, your time is not confirmed until I’ve confirmed it with you directly. Your scheduled time is subject to change.

Social Media and Website Consent:

By agreeing to the session, you also give me the rights to share the images from your session on my social media platforms and website for promotional purposes.

Copyright and Usage Rights:

As the photographer, I retain copyright ownership of all images taken during the session. However, you are granted a license to use the images for personal purposes (social media, prints, etc.). Any commercial use of the photos (such as for advertisements, resale, etc.) requires prior written consent from me and may be subject to an additional fee.

Model Release:

By agreeing to the session, you grant me permission to use images from the session for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, portfolio, and advertisements. If you do not wish for your images to be used in this way, please notify me before the session, and we can discuss alternate arrangements.

Client Responsibilities:

Clients are responsible for ensuring they are prepared and punctual for the session. This includes coordinating with any other participants (if applicable) and providing me with any necessary details or requests for specific shots ahead of time.

Clients are also responsible for ensuring that all participants in the session are engaged and ready. I am not responsible for any members who do not participate or cooperate during the shoot.

COVID-19 and Sickness Policy:

If you feel any symptoms or are sick, please inform me as soon as possible so we can reschedule your session. Your health, and the health of my other clients, is very important to me. Sessions will be placed on hold in case of illness, and we will reschedule for a future date.

If your children or anyone in your household has any contagious illness, please notify me immediately so we can reschedule to avoid the spread of germs and ensure everyone's safety.

Image Download and Storage:

Please download your images as soon as they are delivered. I recommend backing them up to multiple devices (computer, phone, email, etc.). I am not responsible for any lost images after they have been delivered, as I use a third-party service to send the galleries, and galleries may expire.

Session Participation and Poses:

While I will direct the session and encourage participation, I am not responsible for getting individuals to engage in poses or photos. Clients should ensure that everyone is ready to participate.

Editing and Retouching Policy:

I pride myself on being a natural photographer. My editing style focuses on enhancing the beauty of the shot while maintaining a natural look.

I do not do extensive retouching, such as altering body shape, face features, or applying heavy skin retouching. Minor adjustments may be made for lighting, color correction, and minor blemishes, but I do not alter the overall appearance of subjects in a way that significantly changes their natural features.

Prints and High-Resolution Images:

I am not responsible for any issues related to prints made by clients. If you plan to print images, please ensure that you download the high-resolution files. At this time, I do not provide prints but clients are free to print their images through any service they choose.

Harassment or Disrespectful Behavior:

If any form of harassment or disrespectful behavior occurs during the session, I reserve the right to end the session immediately. The client will forfeit their deposit/payment, and no images will be provided.

Injury and Safety:

The photographer is not responsible for any injuries that occur during the session. Please make sure to watch your children and pay attention to them during the shoot to ensure everyone’s safety.

Damage to Equipment or Props:

Clients will be responsible for any damage caused to props or equipment during the session, including damage caused by children.

Travel Fees:

For sessions outside of St. Paul and Minneapolis, a travel fee will be added. This fee is calculated per mile traveled to and from the location of the session.

Limitation of Liability:

While I take every precaution to ensure a smooth and successful session, I am not responsible for any personal injury, loss of personal property, or any unforeseen events that may occur during the session. This includes, but is not limited to, equipment failure, weather-related issues, or accidents.

Force Majeure (Acts of God):

In the event of a force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, etc.), I reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the session without penalty. Clients will be notified as soon as possible, and any deposits/retainers will be transferred to a new session date.

Additional Charges for Special Requests:

If you request any special services (such as props, specialized editing, or travel to unique locations), additional charges may apply. These charges will be communicated and agreed upon in advance of the session.

Turnaround Time:
The standard turnaround time for your images is 25 business days from the day of your session. Please note that weekends and holidays are not included in this time frame, so I appreciate your understanding as I work behind the scenes to craft your beautiful images

If you don’t see your name listed below, please double-check your inbox and spam folder for emails containing your photos. The photos will be sent from Samantha LeeAnn Photography (Pic-Time) Gallery. When you do receive your images, it is recommended to immediately downloaded your images to your device and back up option as well
